There’s a conspiracy going on that is silently whispered in the most obscure alleys of Reddit and Twitter and little known to the outside world.
There is a master plan being pushed in the background by some potent élite to make Italy the successful poster child of some Renaissance of modern times. Sounds unbelievable, right? But think about it!
We’re getting closer to the Eurocup finals and Italy is already one of the most favorite teams of the rooster. There are whispers that is going to be also the final winner. Well, the “Azzurri” are going to play against Spain tonight, so nothing can be for sure against the “Furia Roja”.
So maybe it won’t happen. But if it happens, it would be the second victory on the world stage, after a successful Eurovision where Måneskin slew all the competition and stabbed the hearths of the entire continent with their charisma.
Meanwhile, not satisfied with these victories, Italy is again also the chosen country to host this 2121 edition of the prestigious G20 Summit. An event that will bring the country to the attention of the world’s stage.
So many events, so much attention. What is really going on?
Who is the architect behind Italy’s success? Rothschild? Soros? The Illuminati? Silvio Berlusconi? Roberto Mancini? Who can be so potent to change the destiny of a country?
There are also many signs around it. Mario Draghi as the new premier, for example. One of the most prestigious economists in the world, suddenly called to power in Italy out of the blue, after a “sus” government collapse. He’s been certainly the engineer of the recent upturn in the economy and renewed interest of the international stage.
Another sign was in the words of Ursula Von Der Leyen, in her State of the Union speech, when she used exactly these words (in Italian, verbatim):
“La storia d'Europa è una storia di Rinascimenti. After every crisis came a European Renaissance.”
Interestingly, “Renaissance” had been the same word chosen by Matteo Renzi at a conference in Dubai. In the original message, it was referred to the bright future ahead in the Arabian peninsula but is interesting how the same word recurs frequently. As well as this name, Matteo Renzi, that keeps popping up in Italian news.
Is he the original mastermind behind the recent chain of Italian successes?
After all, the arrival of Mario Draghi at one of the highest offices was prepared by a small minority party led exactly by Matteo Renzi, the ambitious ex-Prime Minister that pushed recklessly against the former government, causing the crisis that opened the door for a new reshuffle.
Matteo Renzi. The same guy at the center of the absurdly conspiratorial theory that Italy meddled into the American election to favor Joe Biden. “Italy did it” was a hashtag that suddenly showed up in the trending list of Twitter for a couple of days.
If the same man has really been capable of transforming Italy from a depressed country to a new phenomenon. Was that international conspiracy involving him so absurd after all?
It was only a couple of years ago, that the country suffered its most humiliating defeat when it couldn’t even pass the qualifications at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. And now is yet here again, bold and confident. Devouring any opponent on the line. Something must have happened.
Or maybe this is only one of the most creative and funniest conspiracies ever crossed the twitter-sphere. Nobody really believes it but is fun sometimes to believe how Italy has found a new “mojo” again, after so many years of bare survival in the hands of economic recessions and international crises.
Whatever is the engine behind this little cultural exploit, I hope it will continue to work for a while.
